This project focuses on creating an artificial placenta to support newborns after preterm birth. The device connects to the umbilical cord, providing lung and kidney functions to reduce complications and improve survival rates for vulnerable infants.
This Pathfinder project will establish a radical change in the treatment of newborns using an artificial placenta (ArtPlac).
