This project aims to develop an artificial device that efficiently converts sunlight into hydrogen by splitting water. Utilizing a chemical mimic of Photosystem II and innovative electrode designs, the device targets a hydrogen production efficiency of nearly 10% under ambient conditions.
Leaves can split water into O2 and H2 at ambient conditions exploiting sun light.
