This training program bridges the gap between industry and academia in smart structures, focusing on distributed control concepts for flexible structures in aerospace and automotive sectors. It aims to enhance control methods using dense arrays of sensors and actuators.
The proposed training program aims at bridging the gap between industry and academia in the field of smart structures.
The motivation comes from the aerospace and automotive industries where the growing popularity of light composite structures introduces demands to attenuate weakly damped flexible modes which are very tightly packed.
