The ARON project aims to create a modular in-vitro assay platform for drug testing, enabling faster and safer drug development without animal testing. By providing ready-to-use assays, it seeks to enhance the efficiency of pre-clinical testing across various biological systems.
In drug development, there is an urgent need for more physiological and predictive pre-clinical in-vitro assays to test the efficacy and toxicity of compounds.
This to allow new medicines to be brought to the market quicker and safer.
