The ARMEVA project focuses on developing advanced electric drive systems for electric vehicles that do not rely on rare earth materials. It aims to enhance energy efficiency and power density while reducing costs through the creation of new reluctance motor technologies.
To enable a large scale adoption of EVs, a new generation of electric drive systems is needed to reduce dependency on rare earth materials, while improving energy efficiency, power density, safe operation and reducing manufacturing/recycling costs.
