ARGO focuses on improving the programming of embedded and cyber-physical systems by automating the parallelization of real-time applications on heterogeneous architectures. The project seeks to simplify the programming process, making it accessible for developers without extensive expertise in parallel computing.
Increasing performance and reducing costs, while maintaining safety levels and programmability are the key de-mands for embedded and cyber-physical systems in European domains, e.g. aerospace, automation, and automotive.
For many applications, the necessary performance with low energy consumption can only be provided by customized computing platforms based on heterogeneous many-core architectures.
