This project focuses on understanding cell death mechanisms in cancer and AIDS by integrating various biological data and developing mathematical models. It aims to identify therapeutic targets and improve diagnostic methods through high-throughput analysis and data mining of human cell lines and clinical samples.
A Europe-wide consortium of experimental biologists, biomathematicians, biostatisticians, computer scientists and clinical scientists will team up to approach cell death pathways in health and disease, placing particular emphasis on cancer and AIDS.
