This project focuses on improving nuclear data and models for advanced nuclear systems, including waste minimization strategies. It aims to enhance the accuracy of nuclear data measurements and evaluations to support the development of sustainable nuclear energy.
According to the recent publications of the European Technological Platform for a Sustainable Nuclear Energy (SNETP) (Vision report and Strategic Research Agenda) the sustainability require the combination of the present LWR, future Advanced Fast reactors and the waste minimization in closed cycles with Partitioning and Transmutation.
