The ANDANTE project aims to analyze the impact of human-induced climate change on extreme weather events in Europe and Africa. It focuses on separating the thermodynamic and dynamic contributions to the risk of these events using advanced modeling techniques.
Extreme weather and climate events, such as heat waves, droughts and their combinations, are intrinsic aspects of the evolution of the climate system, and they can have substantial environmental and socio-economic impacts.
