AMYPAD aims to clarify the role of beta-amyloid imaging in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease by studying its dynamics across a large cohort. The project seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment strategies through extensive imaging data collection and analysis.
Beta-amyloid (β-amyloid) deposition is considered to be a necessary - but not sufficient - step on the path towards Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
