ALPI aims to integrate a photonic neural network into optical transceivers to enhance data transmission capacity. By using deep learning to compensate for fiber nonlinearities, it seeks to improve optical signal quality in data centers and telecommunications.
ALPI aims at the integration of a photonic neural network within an optical transceiver to increase the transmission capacityof the optical link.
Based on a deep learning approach, the new compact device provides real time compensation of fibernonlinearities which degrade optical signals.
