This project focuses on the development of Nanobodies as novel therapeutic agents targeting immune checkpoint complexes. By modulating immune signaling pathways, the research aims to improve treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases.
The fastidious balance of our immune system to fight infections or cancer while avoiding autoimmune reactions is regulated by coinhibitory and co-stimulatory immune checkpoint complexes (ICCs), which have become major drug targets.
