This project investigates how the hippocampus processes spatial information using advanced techniques to record and manipulate neuron activity in live animals. It aims to understand the mechanisms behind memory formation and the role of different cell types in spatial navigation.
The hippocampus is critical for the storage of episodic memories and has been extensively studied on its role in spatial memory.
