The ALLOPLASM project focuses on developing tunable optical devices using liquid crystals to enhance plasmonic waveguides. By controlling the tilting of liquid crystal molecules, it aims to optimize the propagation properties of these waveguides for applications like optical attenuators and modulators.
ALLOPLASM aims at the theoretical analysis and the experimental fabrication and characterization of liquid-crystal tunable long-range surface plasmon polariton elements.
