EDAS Healthcare has developed a real-time infectious disease diagnosis system that identifies pathogens using data-driven methods. This technology aims to reduce inappropriate antibiotic use by providing accurate diagnostics at the point of care.
Today, reliable diagnosis of infectious diseases is not available at the Point-Of-Care, when most needed, resulting in Antimicrobial Resistance, High Treatment Costs and Patients’ Dissatisfaction. A growing number of infectious agents – such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and salmonellosis – with every day are becoming harder to identify and treat correctly without laboratory tests, is the main cause for a massive scale of misuse and overuse of antibiotics.
