This project focuses on improving agricultural sustainability by promoting the recycling of crop residues and reducing reliance on mineral fertilizers. It aims to develop practices that enhance soil quality and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, addressing food security and climate change challenges.
Unsustainable agricultural practices such as long-term monoculture of annual crops with the excessive use of mineral fertilisers lead to greenhouse gas emissions, and is threatening the sustainability of agricultural systems.
