This project aims to characterize age-related changes in the aorta and their implications for cardiovascular health. By utilizing advanced imaging and computational techniques, it seeks to develop tools for better diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases.
Age-related remodeling of the aorta is associated with alterations in morphology and hemodynamics .
These alterations are involved and accelerated in the presence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), suggesting that they are the likely culprits that underlie the increased cardiovascular risk associated with ageing .
