This project develops a comprehensive framework to understand how binary black holes form and merge in active galactic nuclei disks. It combines numerical and analytical methods to analyze the dynamics of black hole interactions, aiming to provide predictions that can be tested with gravitational wave data.
The growing list of binary black hole (BBH) mergers detected in gravitational waves (GWs) by LIGO/Virgo, have been used to put tight constraints on Einstein's Theory of Gravity.
