This project focuses on developing a movement model for UK Harbour seals to understand how environmental stressors affect their behavior. By using individual-based modeling, it aims to predict the impact of multiple stressors on seal movement, aiding conservation efforts in altered habitats.
Understanding movement is fundamental to animal ecology in areas such as foraging, predator avoidance, mate encounter, and migration.
Moreover, movement responses of individuals to the changes in environment such as disturbance will affect their individual performance.
