This project aims to enhance understanding of aquaculture's role in food security and poverty alleviation in developing countries. By improving knowledge and methodologies, it seeks to inform resource allocation and support sustainable aquaculture practices that contribute to human development.
Aquaculture is widely considered as important for enhancing food security, alleviating poverty and improving nutrition.
However, little information is available concerning the direct and indirect impacts of aquaculture on food security and poverty alleviation in most developing countries and LIFDCs.
