AEROMUCO aims to develop innovative surface protection systems for aircraft to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The project explores advanced coatings that provide anti-icing and anti-contamination properties, addressing the challenges posed by various environmental factors during flight.
The main objective of the AEROMUCO project is to develop and evaluate a number of alternative – and highly innovative – active and passive multi-functional surface protection systems for future generation of aircraft, leading to a significant improvement in fuel efficiency and a reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions.
