This project aims to enhance our understanding of dark energy and dark matter in the universe through advanced observational techniques. By analyzing data from the Kilo-Degree Survey, it seeks to map dark matter distribution and improve constraints on dark energy properties using weak gravitational lensing.
The discoveries that the expansion of the universe is accelerating due to an unknown “dark energy”and that most of the matter is invisible, highlight our lack of understanding of the major constituentsof the universe.
