The AdSoils project aims to develop and validate advanced artificial soil technology for agricultural applications. This technology will help improve crop efficiency in nutrient and water uptake while minimizing environmental impact through innovative screening methods.
AdSoils project aims to evaluate, validate, and develop artificial advanced soil technology for its commercial exploitation as a tool forscreening crops from belowground.As part of the Farm to Fork strategy, the European Commission aims at reduced “nutrient losses of at least 50% by 2030, whileensuring no deterioration in soil fertility.
This is expected to lead to a reduction in fertiliser use of at least 20%”.
