The ADMEP project investigates the effects of pulsed lasers on material properties at the nanoscale. It aims to understand how energy deposition alters these properties, enhancing applications in fields like laser processing and material science.
During the last decades the use of pulsed lasers has been increasingly exploited for many applications in research, industry and healthcare via cutting, removing or depositing material.
What many of these processes have in common is that so much energy is deposited in the target that its optical properties change during an individual laser pulse.
