The ADeHEx project focuses on designing advanced heat exchangers for aviation engines using topology optimization and additive manufacturing. By employing machine learning techniques, it aims to significantly reduce computational costs and enhance the efficiency of these critical components in energy systems.
Heat exchangers (HXs) are at the heart of many energy systems, one example being engine cooling in the aviation industry.
Advanced design of HXs is urgent since aircraft systems are becoming smaller and need to become more efficient.
