This research explores the relationship between motor processes and language comprehension in the brain. By using advanced imaging techniques, it aims to clarify how sensorimotor experiences influence language processing and understanding.
Evidence of activation of sensorimotor circuits for action and perception during cognitive tasks, such as language understanding, has been used to challenge the “Cartesian” conception that mind and body are different entities to be studied as separate domains.
