The ACT5G project aims to enhance the efficiency of 5G networks by developing anticipatory network management systems. It focuses on predicting and adapting to network demands to optimize resource management and infrastructure sharing, ultimately improving service quality and reducing costs.
The rapid growth in mobile network data traffic contributed to the unprecedented speed of 4G LTE adoption, creating the need of sustainable capacity growth in next generation of wireless systems, namely 5G. A key success factor of 5G is network and management system design for flexibility by prediction and adaptation.
To this end, anticipation is a promising new approach.
