The ACQDIV project explores the cognitive processes that enable children to learn diverse languages. It focuses on identifying universal learning mechanisms that adapt to different linguistic structures, using a comparative approach across various language clusters.
Children learn any language that they grow up with, adapting to any of the ca. 7000 languages of the world, no matter how divergent or complex their structures are.
