This project aims to enhance cardiac ultrasound diagnostics by developing a high-resolution imaging system. It combines advanced ultrasound techniques with real-time applications to improve the assessment of left ventricular function during the heart cycle.
Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death in the world and has a tremendous impact on our society.
Since major diseases are associated with dysfunction of the left ventricle, the accurate assessment of ventricular function during all phases of the heart cycle is fundamental.
