The ACCURAT project aims to improve machine translation quality for under-resourced languages by utilizing comparable corpora. It focuses on developing methodologies to enhance translation systems, particularly in specialized domains, through better linguistic resource utilization.
Lack of sufficient linguistic resources for many languages and domains currently is one of the major obstacle in further advancement of automated translation.
