About 17 million people die each year from cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), a number that is expected to grow to more than 23 million by 2030.
Of these deaths, an estimated 7.4 million were due to heart disease, including heart valve disease (HVD) such as tricuspid regurgitation (TR).
