Oculyze is developing Better Dairy, an automated tool using smartphone technology to diagnose endometritis in cows. This affordable and easy-to-use solution aims to improve cattle health management and reduce economic losses in dairy farming.
Endometritis is a curable uterine infection that is highly prevalent in cow farms affecting approximately 30% of cows per year, with up to 70% incidence in some herds. A farm with just 1,500 cows and with a typical incidence rate of 30% has a loss of up to €146,000 a year due to the costs associated with endometritis.
