OQ Technology is launching a satellite-based communication service that enables direct mobile connectivity for emergency services using 5G technology. This initiative aims to connect underserved regions and enhance public safety through reliable communication.
OQ Technology proposes a European 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) satellite direct-to-mobile communication service based on the 3GPP standards.
Through this grant, OQ Technology intends to demonstrate the proposed solution through an In-Orbit Demonstration satellite mission providing SMS and emergency services for direct-to-mobile based on the 5G 3GPP standards.
