The 4F4REJUVENGLIA project aims to induce neurogenesis in the brain by reprogramming glial cells to regain their stem cell potential. This innovative approach seeks to enhance brain regeneration and address neurological disorders.
Although the concept of adult neurogenesis has important implications for regenerative medicine, the formation of new functional neurons from progenitors during adult life is rare and occurs only in confined areas of the mammalian brain .
