This project aims to enhance terahertz radiation detection using 3D-printed 2D MXene materials. By optimizing the arrangement of these conductive sheets, the project seeks to improve sensitivity, speed, and portability in applications like security, biology, and imaging.
The terahertz (THz) region of the electromagnetic spectrum finds application in different areas such as security checks, biology, detection of drugs and explosives, imaging and astronomy.
