This project aims to develop a method for assembling two-dimensional nanomaterials into layered structures using DNA-mediated assembly. By combining various atomic layers, it seeks to create new materials with enhanced properties for applications in electronics and materials science.
One-atom thin two-dimensional nanomaterials possess unique properties different from their bulk counterparts.
Initiated by the discovery of graphene, many stable one atom-thick layers such as boron nitride, molybdenum disulphide, tungsten disulphide etc., have been isolated and characterized.
