This project aims to develop a microfluidic probe for real-time detection of signaling molecules from single cells, addressing neuroinflammation related to neurodegenerative diseases. The technology will enhance understanding of cellular communication and its role in disease mechanisms.
Modern society, because of population ageing, suffers from a growing socio-economical impact of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Creutzfeldt-Jakob.
